EPP Finance Ministers, chaired by Valdis DOMBROVSKIS, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for an Economy that Works for the People, Latvia, met this morning in Brussels to prepare today’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) agenda. Ministers then discussed the economic situation in the Member States, and commented on the “VAT in the Digital Age” package, notably on the three proposals aiming at tackling VAT fraud, supporting businesses and promoting digitalization. They then commented on the Economic recovery plan in Europe, namely on the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, as well as the state of play of the economic and financial impact of the Russia's continuous aggression against Ukraine. They finally exchanged views on the annual report of the European Fiscal Board.
