EPP Foreign Affairs Ministers met this morning in Brussels, chaired by EPP Vice-President David McALLISTER, to prepare the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) agenda. Ministers discussed the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, focusing particularly on the current peace talks. They emphasized the need for European leaders, institutions, and allies to exert significant pressure to find a solution for a ceasefire, maintain military support for Ukraine, and uphold the EU's sanctions policy against Russia. Ministers also highlighted the importance of increasing the number of visits by European leaders to Ukraine at all levels, noting that a strong presence in the country is essential at this time. Additionally, they emphasized the need to strengthen transatlantic unity and enhance the EPP's engagement with members of the US Congress. The ministers also expressed concern about the complex situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as discussing the recent rallies in Serbia and the overall situation in the Western Balkans.
