EPP Summit
Date: Thursday, 19 December 2024 from 08:00 to 10:00
Venue: Hotel Sofitel Brussels Europe, Pl. Jourdan 1, 1040 Brussels
EPP Leaders will participate in the EPP Summit in Brussels on Thursday 19 December. Preparations for the European Council on 19 and 20 December will be on the agenda, as well as the topic of enlargement. EPP President Manfred WEBER and EPP Secretary General Thanasis BAKOLAS will host the Summit. The following leaders have confirmed their attendance:
  • President of the European Commission Ursula von der LEYEN and President of the European Parliament Roberta METSOLA.
  • EU Heads of state/government Nikos CHRISTODOULIDES (Cyprus), Luc FRIEDEN (Luxembourg), Taoiseach Simon HARRIS (Ireland), Kyriakos MITSOTAKIS (Greece), Luís MONTENEGRO (Portugal), Petteri ORPO (Finland), Andrej PLENKOVIĆ (Croatia), Evika SILIŅA (Latvia) and Donald TUSK (Poland).
  • Non-EU heads of state/government Aleksandar VUČIĆ (Serbia) and Hristijan MICKOSKI (North Macedonia).
  • EU Deputy Prime Ministers Marian JUREČKA (Czechia) Antonio TAJANI (Italy) and Vincent VAN PETEGHEM (Belgium).
  • Non-EU deputy Prime Minister Ervin IBRAHIMOVIĆ (Montenegro).
  • EU Opposition leader Bernard GRECH (Malta).
  • Members of the EPP Presidency Mariya GABRIEL, Andrzej HALICKI, Siegfried MUREŞAN, and Dubravka ŠUICA.
  • High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian SCHMIDT.
Press registration Journalists wishing to cover the EPP Summit must register by 18 December via the following form: https://forms.office.com/e/YCWtdW66VK. For security reasons, please ensure that you bring a valid form of identification. Journalists will be given access to the venue upon presentation of their accreditation badges issued by the European Council or their national press ID cards.
Note to the press Press registration will open at 07:15. Due to the early timing of the Summit there will be no dedicated press working area.
